"Canceling was easier than I expected"
I had to cancel my Houzz service, i was ready for it to be a whole irritating process. But to be fair, it really wasn’t. I found the cancel option quickly, got the confirmation right away, and nobody tried to guilt me or push me into staying. Say what you want, but I appreciate when a company doesn’t make canceling feel like a battle.

"Finally, customer service that didn’t waste my time"
I had a small issue with my order and wasn’t expecting much when I reached out to customer service, because usually that turns into a whole back-and-forth mess. But they replied quickly and actually fixed it without making me repeat the same details a million times, which was such a relief. It’s annoying that this feels rare, but it was genuinely nice to get a real answer and not feel like I was shouting into the void. Overall, good experience and I’d use Houzz again

"Helpful for getting home ideas before making changes"
I use Houzz a lot when I’m not totally sure what I want to do with a room. I like that there are so many real photos and different styles, so I can save ideas and compare them before I commit to anything. I’m cautious about home projects since mistakes can get expensive, so it helps to see examples first instead of guessing. A few pages load slowly here and there, but overall it’s been really useful for design inspiration.

"Refund got handled quicker than expected"
I had an issue with my order and thought it was going to turn into a whole hassle. Reached out to Houzz support and they actually helped get it sorted quickly. The refund came through faster than I expected, so I’m happy with how it all turned out.

"Return was easier than expected"
I ordered a light fixture from Houzz, but once it showed up, it was just too big for the room.

The return was easy. I did it from my order page, got the label quickly, and didn’t have to call anyone.

I’m giving 4 stars because the refund took a little longer than I thought it would. Still, the whole thing was simple enough.

"Billing was clear from the start"
I signed up for houzz and the subscription price was sorta easy to spot right away. I haven’t had any weird surprise charges so far, which I really appreciate.

"A few solid leads, but you have to read between the lines"
Houzz has sent a handful of real leads my way, so I can’t say it hasn’t helped. But reading between the lines, a lot of the inquiries are people just comparing prices or they disappear after the first message. It’s not a bad platform, it just doesn’t always feel worth the time you put into chasing every lead

My experience with Houzz was okay overall, but I’d definitely warn people to pay close attention to the sales details. Some of the costs and terms weren’t as clear upfront as I expected, and I had to ask more than once to really understand what I was agreeing to. It wasn’t a terrible experience, but I do wish everything had been more straightforward from the start.

I used Houzz to check out a few remodeling items and compare some local pros, it was helpful. The prices weren’t always the absolute lowest I found, but they felt fair for the quality and options. It saved me a bunch of time too. Then suddenly I was like, wait, why didn’t I use this earlier? Overall, I felt like I got a decent deal and it made the whole process a lot easier.

“The poor reviews seem to deal with delivery issues. I was hoping to order 8 dining chairs from Houzz, however after placing my order on April 18 and not having received it yet, June 25. Yet my account was charged on May 22.”

I am a concerned about the bad reviews i'm reading as i am on the verge of ordering a 31x19 vanity top for a bathroom cabinet. i also want to know if it comes in any other color other than white. first, however, address the reviewers' complaints. it instills little confidence in ordering other products as well.

“NO, apparently not. We are a Professional, with Houzz.com for over 7 years. They've completely changed now that they basically sell furniture. There is NO customer service. They renewed our contract without telling us, then said we would have to pay a 4 month penalty to cancel the contract we did not sign! We've had a bad review written on ANOTHER contractor, not our company, not our project, and we can't get a phone call or an email response to try and get it taken off. I will have to cancel my credit card with Houzz in order to cancel them and never do business with them again. We received 3 leads, average, per month. We pay $375 a month. Houzz.com is a SCAM. Beware.”
